personally i think it looks way more badass with the mod choke installed..like a Bulldog with a frikken lazer beam or somethin :D

and sorry about the pic quality, it was super sunny at the time, later this afternoon i will snap some more

alot of the old guard poo poo the new 887 for being polymer coated and all..

but damn they shoot softer than the 870's and look like secks

It's not because they're polymer coated that turns me off. It's the way it looks and feels to me. If Big Green hadn't molded in those silly looking "steps", for lack of a better term, it would look a great deal more appealing to me.

The example I handled came to the shoulder beautifully, and the sight picture was like *BAM*, there, but the feel of it and the way it functioned just nailed the coffin shut for me.

All that being said, Congrats go to Fenix.NZ for making an 887 look pretty slick.

Keep an eye out for rust between the polymer coated parts.
Apparently this was a huge issue with these when they were first released in the US. This was why I went with the 870 instead of the 887.

She looks ### tho, thats for sure.

Voltron is shy today?

x2 on watching for rust, I've read that in a few magazines, and usually magazines just gush over everything, for them to call something a problem, it's gotta be bad.

He wasnt cooperating for the camera so he didnt get a feature

as per the rust, i have read that the early production units ( standard length barrell ) had some issue, not so with the tac model, or so ive read.

I was thinking of getting one then read the reviews on the net, one guy called it the worst gun of the decade, supposedly feeding problems, and such. I really like the idea of it and wolverine has them for a good price.

I think this looks better than the sporting version of the 887. Put a few hundred rounds thru her and let us know how it works out. Wouldn't mind having a plastic gun for summer fishing trips.

shes pretty light weight which is nice, i fired about 20 rounds on the weekend just to make sure it was all functioning, no issues.

i take reviews on this gun with a grain of salt.. most of the reviews ive read just wank on about how its not the same as the 870 etc .. if they cant be neutral then they shouldnt be reviewing - just my opinion

i liked the looks and i liked the idea so picked one up.. ill pump a hundred rounds or so thru her in the coming weeks and put up a proper review

ive put about 200 rounds through mine, everything from slugs, game loads and high velocity stuff. no problems wut so ever! not many aftermarket stuff out there tho and 870 stuff is not compatible, i already tried changing the stock pump grip with an 870 black hawk one.

I've overlooked this shotty. Is the receiver polymer or polymer coated? I haven't read anything about this one and a local shop has a couple of them priced pretty low(which creates that being cheap means crap buzz). I live in an area that is pretty much underwater all winter long. Can 870 barrels be swapped with this model?

nah you cant swap 870 barrells with the 887

from what i understand.. it is a skeletonized 870 reciever that is then polymer coated .. barrell is also polymer coated ..

its "armorlokt" or something.. the polymer that they use on the ACR assault rifles

so far its been pretty good with the heat from shooting, but time will tell
