Anyone here have experience with these two stocks? I like the idea of the shell holder in the stock but I want to know how well it works? Does stuff rattle around when empty? Do shells pop out during shooting? General thoughts?

No rattles, and nothing has ever popped out. Having said that, I don't like it.

Safe storage means they can't be left loaded, unless they're in a safe. They might make sense if you really didn't want a sidesaddle. In any event, for me, the sidesaddle is the primary shell carrier, and for 3-Gun, stock stowage is too slow. But the biggest issue is the poor cheek weld during weak hand stages. It hurts. That really sucks.

I'd take a solid version over the tube version any day.

Alright sweet! Thanks for the input, Think I'm going to end up going with an IV or IV-S. Gotta figure out which is for me, anybody got a say on the two different LOP's?

well made but don,t seem to fit to the body as well as the houge stocks.
What ever youdo dont buy the pistol grip stock unless youhave small hands.
Its so skinny it feels strange.
The stock was a big improvment when all there was on the market for pistolgrip full stocks were Choate.

The Tac III has the 14" LOP; once it's shouldered it feels perfect. The problem is that, with the pistol grip and the tacky rubber buttpad, to shoulder it quickly you must actually bring it forward before coming back into your shoulder pocket. If you fail to bring it forward the buttpad hangs up on your clothing. So that movement, relatively awkward with a 14" LOP, makes the 13" LOP more natural, and (therefore) the Tac IV-S version preferable, even for someone who would normally use a 14" LOP conventional shotgun stock...IMO...YMMV.

(I keep the Knoxx SpecOps collapsed at the 12.5"-13" mark. It feels great, and it shoulders much more quickly.)

Your cheek and eye might seem unusually close to the rear aperture (with the 13" LOP stock), but you will get used to it quickly.
