I'm heading to Detroit and possibly buffalo on a trip with my buddies and we'll be there for a few days. Does anyone know any local stores there that carry reloading equipment. If the prices are much cheaper I wouldn't mind buying it and bringing it back myself.

Also I'm assuming as long as I'm in the US for a few days and declare it at the border it shouldn't be a problem?

doubleaction sports in sterling height has full selection of dillion of equipement, very knowledgable and friendly, i've gotten my whole setup there, and prices seem better than dillions website

Don't hold your breath on Cabelas. Tried ordering dies from them. They would not export. Called manufacture got the same dies shipped.

Sales staff either good or idiots.

Buffalo is a long way from Detroit. Detroit is about a 6 hour drive from Barfalo.

That's why I think we may just keep it a Detroit trip. We're going to watch the Lions face the Pats and we we're (still are) tempted to catch the Steelers destroy the Bills.

I plan on calling a few of the places you guys listed and asking them for specifics on price and such. I may be able to get 25% off at a local retailer here which could result in the hornady lnl ap for about $450. Along with their free bullet deals i'm leaning towards that. Unless a retailed in Detroit has even better pricing, which they probably could.

Go to Buffalo Gun Center, maybe pick me up 5 boxes of .30cal 180gr interbonds when your there, save me the trip! you can drop them off on your way home.

:)

In case anyone reading doesn;t know you are joking...He can't bring back reloading supplies (no primers, powder, cases or projectiles) without a US export permit.

Good thing you posted this as I would again love confirmation that any reloading equipment (press, dies, etc) does not fall under this catagory and therefore won't require a permit.

No - It's OK

What ever you buy a Baffulo gun store , ask them to drop at No Man's Land before the Canadian Border . Picking it up from the US is not good for health, just ask them to get you cross their side , they do it all the time , just ask them

"...confirmation that any reloading equipment..." Equipment is ok, components are not. You'll have to pay HST though.
