I'm looking to buy a new gun but with the following property, does someone know of any brand / model that has those ? I know what I like and I'm sure the following setup will make some people wonder why, but those are the property I find interested in multiple different gun but I would like to have those in one gun.

I want a Over-Under 12 gauge, stock in wood NO CAMO OR SYNTHETIC.
- removable choke
- receiver tapped/drilled for scope mounting !! (essential, factory configured, no bubba)
- 3.5 inch chamber, both barel. (very important)
- If possible, 2 different trigger
- must have a factory installed or factory approved accessory to install a sling.
- Must have a safety.

I'm pretty sure these kind of gun must exist, i just cant find any. Also, as a note, I dont want something too shiny (engraving... etc), its for hunting. I would be willing to invest some good money in that kind of gun but I dont want to go the custom way...

Browning and Beretta both offer a shotgun that meets you criteria, however I belive they are single trigger guns and they are definitely not tapped for a scope.

Best of luck in your search.

I don't know of anyone who would want to mount a scope on an over/under shotgun.

Well, there is this one guy on CanadianGunnutz.com called arcaner.

Double triggers seem to pretty uncommon on modern mass-produced guns. The current fashion is for a single trigger. But I think factory drilled and tapped for a scope mount is the biggest obstacle. I don't think any manufacturer is doing that and it will have to be done by a gunsmith after purchase.

Nope, in most design i saw its impossible. That is why i'm asking for suggestion.

I'm suggesting it's more likely a gunsmith will fabricate by hand some kind one-off mount and attach it to a shotgun you bring him than a factory is going to drill and tap a mass-production over-and-under shotgun. But I hope you have the luck of finding I'm wrong.

I'm kind of a fan of the Beretta 686 O/U, but thats cuz i have a few of them. Not sure why you would want double triggers when you just move the slide switch with your thumb to change which barrel goes first. A scope? Duh... thats absolutely pointless, but aftermarket wrap-around slings or a barrel clamp from Uncle Mikes works really well, even though its a field gun.

A Marocchi Finnclassic combination gun will do all of this and more. Look at the "Finnclassic 512s Universal Gun Set" in the link.

O/U in wood with interchangeable chokes. 3.5" available (special order though). Although not drilled and tapped, all barrels, including the O/U, use the same mounting system for a quick detach scope mount that will hold its zero. Can easily be switched from single selective trigger to double triggers. Sling attachment are standard I believe. In addition the same receiver can be used with different barrel combinations: O/U shotgun, shotgun over rifle barrel in various calibers or double rifle barrels. And yes, they have a safety.

These guns were made by Valmet and sold as their model 412S, then the company was bought out by Tikka who sold them as the 512S. Tikka sold it to Marocchi who now makes them as the FinnClassic.

I own an original Finnish made Valmet 412S with a 12g/.308 and 12g/12g barrel set. The scope mount fits both barrel sets, although I agree that I am a little puzzled why anyone wants a scope on an O/U? The choke on the 12g/.308 is fixed, the O/U has interchangeable chokes. I prefer the single selective trigger, but this can easily be swapped out for a double trigger set.
This year 6 grouse and one whitetail can attest that the combination barrels are great for a walk in the woods...

Never heard of anything like what you are looking for in my life.

I have a pump action with smoothbore with a scope mounted on and its for deer hunting. same reason I want one on a OO. I group at less than 6 inch at 150yard any day. without a scope, not even on paper most of the time.

By the way, for me , I get better result from smothbore than rifled and get much more practice with regular slug at 3$ per box than the sabot at 14-18$/box.

Anyway, i know what I want in my next shotgun, i just havent found it.

Do you know any distributor for the FinnClassic ?

One of the reasons you won't find this is because a) the receiver on a O/U is too short for a weaver-type scope mount and b) the scope will prevent you from reloading easily unless your fingers are doublejointed. You cannot mount it directly on the barrels reliably although a gunsmith _could_ probably work up something for a scout-type scope that mounts to barrel bands. Even if you could, you would want to be careful that the scope doesn't interfere with reloading.

There are different brands to choose from should one be looking at a combination (shotgun/rifle) with O/U barrel configuration. In fact, most European manufacters offer different models of such firearms as it is quite popular over there.

I'm afraid, however, that you won't find any mass production firearm that would conform to the specific criteria that you've visualized for the firearm in question. On the other other hand, a custom job will mean high $ and will still defeat the purpose for which it will be designed because it will still be a smoothbore O/U shotgun with the many limitations of a smoothbore shotgun.

Coming back to combo guns - the least expensive and more commonly available (in Canada) would be the Baikal Model MP-94 that is available in 12ga/various centerfire rifle calibres in O/U bbl config. The firearm is also equipped with DTs, iron sights and a scope rail.

You may also wish to check Tradex Canada for used combo guns (refer to top of the page for link to Co website) - Valmet, Tikka etc.
