So I see that the nomination forms were supposed to have been received by the election chairman no later than Oct 31... The postmark on the envelope which delivered that notice and the form was Oct 26th... That leaves 4 business days since the time the forms were MAILED to the time the returned forms were supposed to have been RECEIVED BACK... So that's 4 days for Canada Post to deliver the original package and then to deliver a return one back. A little unrealistic, I think, without the use of couriers

I recieved email notice as a club rep well in advance and sent it out to the members of my club that same day.

You should contact your club rep and see what happened there.

Edit.......just checked. I got my forms on Sept 30th. Definitely sufficient time in my book.

It would only have been an issue if it was the only method that the forms were distributed...which was obviously not the case...

The forms were emailed by the club reps, and available from the website.

The timing of the Sitrep delivery was unfortunate...and perhaps a waste of valuable space in the news letter...but I doubt it had any material effect on anything.

As Storm has already noted... Nomination forms were sent to all Club Reps for posting at the local level and it was also posted on the IPSC Ontario website over a month in advance of the deadline.
If you (not specific to Omen) wanted to put your name in the hat, I encourage you to be a little more pro-active. The election was no secret.
Deadline for nomination forms hasn't changed in recent years, if I recall correctly.
