There is a PD in the US that issues the 'L' - so someone makes a holster for it. Try MD Charlton and ask if Gould and Goodrich make their Level 2 for the 'L' - it's a pretty decent holster that's secure without being stupid about it. Price is good too. Correction, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service issues them.

Yeah, see my post above. You can order a 6004/6285 for a HK45 with X300 and it will work with the M&P 9L/Pro both with and without the X300. I do not know if the non-X300 holster will work with a M&P 9L.

The Safariland holster body number is 393, and you want to make sure the last number in the model number is a 2 for a left handed model. See if you can order a 6004-393-XX2. Now the last 2 means LEFT handed. 1 means right handed. The one I have pictured my thread is a 6004-393-541 (Heckler & Koch 4.53 in BBL: HK 45 Cocked and Locked w/Surefire X200/X300 BELT LOOP: HARNESS. Lined, STX TACTICAL, Foliage Green, Right)

Be prepared to wait weeks to month for your order to reach you since it's rarely a stocking item.

What is the application? Do you HAVE to have level 2 retention? I was just playing with a Raven Concealment holster, which can make you one for the M&P9L. It has really positive retention and holstering. Highly recommended, but again, no other retention systems other than tension.

Oh, I have one of those too for running of a pants belt for the M&P Pro.

The Safariland has been converted to a 6280 to run on a Molle belt. The draw is lower and more comfortable than the Raven. Raven can make nearly anything for you, but it will take many months.

The most troublesome part of getting a pistol is finding a holster. It requires a lot of planning ahead since unless you're looking for a Glock or a 1911, changes are the holster will be a special order.

Yeah I hear ya. Im running a Glock 17 with a TLR1s and it is a total pain in the butt to get a holster. I ordered one from Blade-tech with a offset loop, as I use one for work. I want a Raven, but I cant wait 4 months for one. My next gun ill be running is an M&P. You liking yours? I would likley get a Pro as I want that trigger and the 5''

It's ok, but the Raven rides so high, that if you have a long barrel that the draw can be very uncomfortable. I much prefer my Safariland on the Molle belt, which drops the holster a couple of inches down.

I've used the Safariland 6004 for dropleg before, not a fan of the hood. They do make our duty holster which are awesome, so I cant talk smack on them on the whole.

When I mean how you liking it, I was referring to your M&P
