Custom Cooper Finally Finished.....(Pic's)

 Thanks for the kind words everyone. Now I am just flip flopping as to what scope to put on it.
I have been advised to go with a scope with a gloss finish to complement the high polished barrel. I see Clay has one in stock, a Leupold VI 4-12X40.

It needs a minimum of VXII glass (with AO). I have them on a Sako .22 and a Cooper 17Rem Fireball and they are nice. Mind you I don't have money for better, but you do notice the difference when you step up a notch.

You have to be kidding,a VXI on a high end rifle like that.If your budget was used up on the rifle,at least talk to Clay about getting one of the 3-9x42 CL Kahles that he has coming in shortly. He still may have one that isn't already spoken for.For less money that a VX3,they are a great scope, offering higher end glass and coatings, and they do have side mounted parallax adjustment.I have four of them now, with two more on the way to mount on my own Cooper rimfires.

I went to Leupolds custom shop and wanted a Gloss V3 4.5-14X40 but they don't ship to personal residences in Canada and a gloss in that model needs to be custom shopped. So basically its a no go.

There are legal ways to get a custom Leupold order out of the USA.Talk to the dealer that sold you the rifle, and he can make it happen.Better yet,go with a higher quality scope to match the gun.I am likely going to mount a Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 on my Cooper Model 54 Varmint Laminate in 260.when it arrives.

Absolutely Amazing! Leaves nothing to be desired.
Sort of makes me feel my Anschutz is inadequate.....
What glass do you plan to set atop that masterpiece???

Congrats,
Gord
