Break down 22's

We should put up a take down 22 range report and see which one is the most accurate. I love my brownings. No mags to lose/ forget, pretty accurate, plus it looks nice.

My favorite takedown .22rf.

FIALAGROUPWITHHSMDLB600WIDETITLED.jpg

FIALA MODEL 1920 was available in a handy-dandy, velvet lined, fitted, lockable carrying case along with 3"; 7.5" and 20" barrels, plus a detachable walnut buttstock. The two longer barrels could be ordered as smooth bores if one preferred. The 12.5" barrel at bottom is a "Special Order" gun and the Hi-Standard Mdl. B in upper right is just for size and design comparison.

The H-S predecessor, Hartford Arms single-shot, evolved into Hartford's semi-auto Mdl. 25, then, when H-S bought the Hartford the Mdl. 25 became their Mdl. B. Both the Hartford and the Fiala were designed by Lucius Diehm.

Update

Here's a current update on the BRONCO rifles I wrote about in Post #12 on the thread.

Two of them sold at online auctions today, Saturday. One sold in Colorado to an onsite buyer for $250. The second one was an unusual brown color (?) and was being offered as an "FIE GARCIA BRONCO." Ain't no such critter. Very confusing. The auction house did not respond to my email questions as to which company was actually stamped on the gun.

Anyhoo, that one sold for only $150. I did not feel like gambling on it even at that low price since I already have one which is well marked as an original takedown style FIC BRONCO.
