kimber. 22 kit fuc%ed from factory *UPDATE*

Every problem on a 1911 can be fix. 1911 is a wonderful platform, a good skilled Smith is able to fix it.
On what a see on your problem, Its close to a link adjustment. Just ave to take off a little bit of material, just a little bit.

The problem can be fixed but it shouldn't be there, Kimber shouldn't release a fail product out and refuse to fix for the customer because of a Canadian customer. This ####ing piss me off:mad:, if they don't want to warranty their product here than don't ####ing sell them here. I don't really know the whole story but by the picture I am quite sure this kit should rejected at their qc department. The OP should not pay for a gunsmith to fix Kimber's problem....

In the gun industry, we have to remember the Canada is a very small market and we have to deal with those kind of problem.

The best part you can find for a 1911 are over size for a better fitting. If your looking for a standard interchangeable part maybe the 1911 is not the platform you need.

Like Travis Haley says on the Magpul pistol DvD , 1911 is like a Formula 1 , but need to be perfectly tuned.

My advise is sale this .22 kit and buy a Chiappa 1911 at 350$. I run the Ar15 upper in .22 shoot like hell !

Good luck.

Yes or not but I understand what you mean. Some company like Ruger, STI or Smith-Wesson do look after us quite well but some don't. It is not about how small or how big is the market, North America arm willing to do a small run of 50 mini revolver for us because they respect us as a customer. Good comapny like LL Bean look after world wide no matter how small is the sale and market is but as you say, the OP can sell the .22 kit and buy some other stuff and forget the pain.

I'm sorry to hear that Kimber is not willing to make this right for you.
