I don't hate them, they are good gun but just not quite my cup of tea, I do love to have a eariler German made 226(without rail, the one shown at Sigforum front page) but looks like my money should go for a .45 1911....

Yea a real sig would be nice ...I sold my like new 229r for the sti... I cant shoot it with the wide body grip and it seems short from top to bottom aswell ...

Sig 1911's are not double stacked.

Your could complement your S&A magwell on the Colt with a set of Ebony Ahrends flat bottomed grips. Also covering the mainspring housing pin.

There's so much that can be done with 1911s and you definitely have a good start with those three.

All three look good to me, but that Colt is the standout IMHO.

Ugh!
Everything has a price! and they are not rare...colt made millions of them!
The most sought after are the pre-war colts without upgrades...and they are good for display only cuz you dont want to "de-value" such toys!
So...can i buy now? jk
