Enidine Shot Shock Buffer Tube???

AHHH! Never mind....The hideousness of the knoxx stock is second only to that folding nightmare above it!:puke:

LMAO! I actually have to agree with you on the Grizzly. I have been waiting for a Mesa Tactical 870 stock to put on that one as well. Happen to come across one today. :D As for the Knoxx, sometimes performance overpowers looks as my wifey loves it as will my daughters when they are old enough. Even though the Knoxx works with springs it actually takes away a little more recoil than the Mesa. I do prefer the Mesa though.

my eyes!!!!

LOL Here you go guys. I am getting there. Not done yet. I saw Casey from Tacord after the CQB match yesterday. Now my 590 has the enidine buffer tube in it, my Grizzly has the Mesa Tactical standard LEO stock and the 870 has the Knoxx RRS.......

Performance trumps looks fellas! :p

Can't wait to use my 590 at the ESSA shotgun only match next Saturday! :shotgun:

Ya bolt action rifles that have a AR 15 stock adaptor with threads for it. I guess that makes it useable on other firearms but why this matters doesnt make much sense.

Hey man, when do the rules ever make sense?

cbabes, guns are looking better! Did you burn that stock and send it back to hell where it came from? I'm still more of a high tube fan. I'll post some pics when my shotgun is done morphing into it's current form.

LOL...I rarely sell anything on the EE but that stock might be one of them. The lower tube works great for the sights I have but if I ever do decide to stick a red dot I will have to get a really low riding one.

The LMT rear sight and fiber front sight that come with the 590A1 SPX I have are just out of this world.

Just trying to clarify - are you saying you aren't happy with the new buffer tube??? not sure

oh? I bought it from you and it was listed as the Mesa tactical 20" long rail (or something like that)

But you're the guy I bought it from so maybe I'm wrong.
(got the safety, side saddle, hogue bits from you too!)

Allan!

mmmm. high tube Mesa Tactical. I didn't get an enidine buffer tube when I had the chance *sigh*.

Nice setup. Here's a few shots of mine. I just got my Shot Shock in the mail.

- 870 Police w/18" barrel
- KAC 870 RAS (New Style)
- Cav Arms SST-870 Adapter (modified)
- Enidine Shot Shock
- Magpul CTR
- Magpul MBUS
- Hogue Pump Grip
- Ergo Pistol Grip
- Vickers sling

The only stuff that will be changing immediately is the barrel will be swapped out for the Rem 14" police barrel and the pistol grip will be replaced by a Magpul MOE+ rubber grip (when they are eventually released).

A friends Comp M3 for the pic.

Tired the shot shock out today. It definitely helps with the recoil management. I wouldn't say 70% like they advertise but it certainly makes slugs and buck easier to go through. Some general points:

- It's advertised as "milspec" but the magpul CTR is a little loose on it. I tried two different CTRs.
- Increases length of pull when the stock is fully closed (about an inch gap for the piston to work), which is OK for me cause I usually shoot on the fist or second position anyhow.
- Five stock positions as compared to the widely available six position AR extensions.
- Considerably heavier (obviously) than the standard AR extension.

Overall, I would recommend it if you want a softer shooting gun. I'm also going to try an enhanced CTR butt pad. I think that will add a little more comfort. I'm also considering the VCS barrel job. Anyone had this done? Reduces more recoil?

My Mossberg 590A1 SPX (the first shotgun in the previous pic I posted) has a ported heavy barrel which really tames recoil compared to my 870. I would think that would be similar to the VCS barrel job. In the pic you can also see I added a buttpad that I bought from Fabsports. It's the Tapco one. Fits perfect on these stocks and helps the shotgun fit nicer in the shoulder.

About the 70% recoil reduction. Funny thing is the cheaper Knoxx is supposed to reduce more and from what I have read on forums from people comparing the two it does. I haven't had a chance to shoot my 590 with the enidine tube yet so I can't comment on the difference. If you are saying it's not 70% then it is less than the Knoxx because my Knoxx reduces at least 80%. I wonder if the Knoxx will last because if it does then it would be the better buy if you are just looking for performance and not looks.

I had Casey at Tac Ord do the VCS work to my 870 and to me it seems to shoot softer. The best thing about it though is the much tighter patterns. I highly recommend the work and Casey.

VCS job would be the way to go but i would not get the porting if you go with a 14" BBL.
