Hunting coulees in cactus country, the bad lands. Filled 3 mule deer tags. Not many great bucks around but this was a freezer filling trip anyway. I did see a great 6 point bull elk at 60 yards, awesome.

My view from where I fired the shot. Don't let anyone tell you .243 is not enough gun for deer. With 100gr winchester ammo, she did a 360 and fell almost in place.
Later that day, spotted this guy in an other coulee at 125 yards. A good sized buck with a very small rack that does not do him justice. This guy made it 50 yards with a double lung shot. The hole you see is the exit.
Next day we had mixed luck. Shot 2 way down where we had a heck of a time to pack them out. One was the biggest dang doe I've ever seen.
Total 2 guys, 4 deer in 2 days, that's it for us. I've a general white tail tag left, going to look for a nice one, wish me luck.
