(small game) Grouse hunting

Hi all !!!!!

can anyone suggest a spot or PM me a spot I can get out for small game?

Ideally I'm looking for a place to get out hunting for grouse within an hour or 2 from the GTA.. trying to get my young brother inlaw into the sport

I'd even try a provincial park but seems like the ones that allow hunting is more for waterfowl..??

Nonquon - google it!
I have only heard of this place on here, but it has been for deer I believe.

Personally I go just north of Parry Sound, and there is still not a lot of birds!

i've gone out to nonquon several times and honestly the place has been hunted out. Its good if your going for waterfowl (although its a little cold now and the ponds are starting to freeze over) but i have yet to see a single grouse or rabbit even when i've been out. And i've put a lot of miles on my boots hiking the trails there.

I've been to nonquon years ago and it was as mentioned, didnt see any grouse or rabbits at all..
anyone try luther marsh for grouse or rabbit??? and have luck or is it like everything else around the city ..over hunted??

There are lots of spots just outside of the GTA for bunnies, just have to knock on a few doors.
