Just wondering on how others like hunting out of them.
This is my first year in one and man is it nice to have with the rain is coming down and over all I do like them depending on the situation.
I use mine usually just for bow or when taking the girlfriend out hunting as this is her first time hunting so it does make things easy when helping her.
I have not yet shot anything out of it but was real close the other morning but the noise from opening the velcro i think scared off my buck. I know i can shoot threw the mesh but will this affect the flight of the arrow or open up my mechanical broadhead?
I was thinking today while sitting in there that if the velcro was replaced with magnets for the screen then that I think would be the best way to eliminate. all the noise.
Has anyone shot an arrow threw the mesh and if so any problems?

I leave my shooting windows open in my G2.

You leave them all open or just one that you planning on shooting out of?
I got the ameristep dog house blind and this morning I did keep one shooting window but everything else closed because I was worried that my silhouette would have maybe been seen more easy if I had the shooting window behind me or beside me.

They will open mechanicals but I wouldn't trust those screens for fixed heads either. No experience first hand but it concerns me.

Leave them open and wear black inside instead of camo, if the regs allow you too. Try and make sure that the sun doesn't shine in the open areas causing you to be viewed.

Fixed or mechanical go through ok, have fired both and haven't had an issue.

Buy a good stool though...I fell off mine when I dosed off one morning.....

Hummm well still not sure if I would feel like taking the chance on having the arrow go where I dont want it too so for now I will just keep everything closed but my one shooting window.
I did buy the tri pod stool from ameristep with the swivel base as I find its would work the best for taking bow shots.
I think my best bet is when I get the blind home is to try some shots threw the mesh and see if would change the flight of the arrow.

I leave the ones I'm most likely to shoot out of open, and leave the mesh on the others. No idea if it affects the shot or not, but I don't trust it.
