Vortex strikefire

I just got a strikefire and noticed the red dot isn't really a dot it's more of a squiggly line. just wondering if anyone else's looks like that or if I need to send it in for repair

Could be your eyes. Astigmatism
Try it outside if you haven't already, I find they look better outdoors.

Mine does that occasionally, if I leave it for a minute or cycle the power it's fine. I'd try a fresh battery too.

I have one, but it is not squiggly at all. I love it, I get consistant 1.5 inch groups at 100 meters with my Marlin 336 .30-30.

Have you checked the intensity settings? On higher settings it can really play with the dot.

If not contact Vortex, they stand 100% behind their product!

Try taking a photo of the dot with a digital camera or a cell phone camera to see whether it is the scope or possibly your eyes.

Wow, I have had mine on a couple different shotguns shooting slugs and turkey loads with no problems. Did Vortex replace your StrikeFire?

I had the same issue with my Strikefire and then looked at the dot with my other eye and the problem is gone. It really can be your eyes, so eliminate that as an issue first.

If there's a problem, Vortex has a wicked warranty. I've dealt with them twice and have had replacement scope or parts shipped to my house in less than 3 days. They really do stand behind their product.
