Hi Everyone!
Just moved up from Seattle (where I was an avid gun enthusiast) and have just now recently resumed my hobby! My day job is all about making special effects (film/tv/games). Glad to be on this forum and I hope to learn a lot from all of you!

Welcome... there's a few Vancouver area TV/Film FX guys here including myself. DVC on Wednesday nights seems to be the current shooting place.:cheers:

Yes, I go to DVC on Tuesdays (will probably be either Wed or Thurs. from now on). I used to work in GVFX around here 10 years ago, doing some work on Stargate SG-1. Those were fun times. Are you in games, animation, tv or film (I think that's what most of the fx people work in around here).

Welcome! I believe the vancouver armourer is/was longshot? I could be wrong... been a while.

Also, if you aren't aware, there's a very active equipment exchange and off topics section. I didn't find them for more than a month when I first joined because they're hidden and require admission from one of the moderators involved in that.
