Stop wasting your time with a para and get a STI. very afforadable, good customer service and the best bang for your buck. Best of it it has high resale value. It doesn't depreciate like some other 1911s out there. Im saving up for one right now.

Very true!!! even a Norinco can sell faster than a Para:eek: NP-29 has very good resale value too.

Trigun

A friend of mine on this very board bought a Para GI expert, brand new out of box, it wouldnt even chamber a single round out of the mag. Took it to the gunsmith, the barrel link needed machining in order for the slide to go into battery properly. Para rocks!!!

So if it seems it is the rail, why won't Para repair it? Isn't it under warranty?

It can be nightmare because you will have to send the ####ing gun to the state because Para is no longer in Canada and that is why the common interest here is tell people not to buy a Para.

Trigun

Man if Para gets Trigun swearing it must be bad. Iv never seen him swear before!

Things just keep on getting better... LoL...

I left my mags loaded with 9 rounds ( because 10 just blows out the plates ) and this is what I found this morning...

Yeah Para... I did sent them other email to get new baseplates... But I doubt they will respond...

Paranormal.... lol...

Should of got a armco tuned Norinco...

I don't know about that I have both the armco norc cmdr and the tf 1-08 para and the para has been good except for one mag failing for no apparent reason.

The cmdr has been a problem, enough so that i've given up on sending it back into Armco. I've fixed all the problems but one myself and I don't know anything about pistols. I know he has a good rep here but his conduct with dealing with me was inexcusable.

Appologies on the rant, my point is that 1911's aren't quite the wonder gun they are often perceived. (They are pretty awesome though).

Jesus Christ,

Dilligaf, you are making me completely second guess my purchase on my TF 1-08 Para. I only received it in October 2010, after having ordered my first one in May 2008- I should qualify this with that my first one was sent in July 2009 from Tetragon, only for Canada Post to deliver it to a wrong/old address, have it refused, and then lost on its way from there to god knows where.

I digress.

I'm starting to feel like a chump for this purchase, and though money was "disposable" at the time of order in the middle of Afghanistan, it's certainly not the case here and now. No wonder a guys TF 3-08 pistol took forever to sell on the E&E.

I have a TLR-1 on it, and had the same fit issues, not just with rail edges, but also the width of the slots on the rail.

Good god, what have I gotten my self into. I was like a kid at christmas (and I hate christmas) when I received this.

BTW, what are MIM parts? I'm hearing quite a few (Wilson Combat, Ed Brown etc) mfrs are using these?
