Got the call today to confirm my pre-order. Good news is, I'll call back tomorrow and Cougar soon to be on the way. Bad news, Wife got the message, and knows about it. It's so easy if She doesn't see them come in, or hear about them. I doubt She could tell the difference between an 870 and a cz858. Ah well such is life, can't wait for the Coug. Already have the speed feed ready to go on.

And then what???

I gave Canada ammo my cell when I bought my tavor . Wife asked how much it was . My response 300 bucks guns are cheap . If she only knew .. I hope my new cougar will cycle trap loads but for 100 bucks who cares :D

And then it sits in my cabinet doing nothing, as I don't really have any good places to shoot shotguns, nor the time to find any :(

I just want to have it for when I finally do. These things sell out quickly.

I meant: what if the wife know??? Are you implying that she may have an issue with it?

My Story

Last May, I bought a Marlin 45-70 of EE (totally on the down low from the wife). A few days later CGN "Huntsman" is at the local post office, and notices a rifle sized box with my name written on it.

Well, thinking that he was being "helpful"....he texts me. YOUR NEW RIFLE IS AT THE POST OFFICE:)

He texted my wifes phone...not mine (they are identical except for the last 2 numbers).

She was kind enough to pick it up for me though.:kickInTheNuts:

Unless She somehow damages Her corneas rolling Her eyes, there won't likely be any real consequences. It's just if She doesn't know, I don't have to hear about it

She's not against Me having guns, just thinks I have more than anyone would ever need. I point out my uncle, but She points out He's been buying Guns for 50 years, not 3.

What's wrong with you guys? I never let any of my wives tell me, if or when, I could buy a gun!

Oh, She knows it's pointless to tell me not to do things I'm going to do. It's just easier if She doesn't know I'm doing them, dig?

How many Wive's have you had? Myself, I'll listen to a bit of nagging, but I'm just gonna stick with the one.

I like to think I'm hiding stuff, but Mrs.9 knows what that envelope with the green paper is. By that point it's already done, and it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.;) In all fairness to her, she let me use her CC for a purchase when mine was getting a little high, so I got nothing to complain about. It's all just a game:D

peace...

My wife is assistant captain of a rep shopping team. Her and her team travel from Ontario to Minnisota, Florida, NYC etc to compete in shopping. They are all black belts in spending and can do the double credit card kata flawlessly. It's funny when she sees a new gun & says "what do we need that for". They are all cut from the same cloth. She has more pairs of shoes than I have guns. Until that ratio is close to 1:1, I will continue to load up. I just smile & wave...

Today I pick up a CZ .22 Bolt action for my son who turns 12 in 2 weeks. It is his birthday present from me. The wife thinks she already has all his presents... Just wait til she gets a load of me!

see thats why iam single after 7 years of marriage guess i loved my guns more than my x but who could blame me my guns never cheatted lmao:cheers:

Real men hide s**t from their wives. Nuff said

That gave me a chuckle. Allot of mail is coming my way these days...and not just bills. :) Sort of thinking her mail box key should magically disappear. As for "hiding" sh*t....the only thing I hide is the whole story. Any mail I get from big brother has to do with a gun I sold, not one I bought.

I don't see why some people have to hide stuff: There is my money, her money and our money. Our money pays for food, bills, mortgage, etc.. her money pays for her stuff and mine well, it pays my stuff! I don't complain when she buys shoes, she doesn't complain when I buy guns.

As AWOL stated, I too have a long way to go for the 1:1 ratio shoes:guns... ;)
