First time Skeet shooting

AH YES!! THe age old argument over which clay game is harder and which is more fun?!!LOL!! Still as tiring to listen to as the guys and gals who argue over Ford, Chev or Dodge!!:p

Personally I prefer skeet over trap though I shoot trap much better and I prefer sporting clays or 5 stand over skeet though I shoot skeet better than sporting. No matter what though it's all enjoyable as hell and it all ends with the same bang sound followed by the smell of burnt powder and "THAT'S A GOOD THING' no matter how you slice it!!

I could care less if I'm shooting clays with one of those little red hand throwers, as long as it's a thrown clay, it's FUN - heck I even shoot trap with my 28SXS!!:)

Maybe try it gun down , safety on and finger off the trigger with a 28 or a 410 .
I shoot it that way to keep in shape for upland hunting - LOTS of fun, and not so easy to clean a round!!

Hey Cat:D
We all know that you got that game figured out. If you really want to be in shape, don't point your belly anywhere near the low house, have puller do a deliberate delay and his choice of a double or a report pair with his choice of order. I know that you will be able to handle it.;)

Oh, we have that much fun and more!:D
When it's slow, we take turns walking around on the 16 yard line with another fella holding the trap switch AND the skeet switch.

Any of the birds may zing out at any time!!:p
now THAT is fun!!
That and setting up a layout at the various stations and have random birds thrown.
It's amazing how many different games you can play if you put your mind to it!!
Don't get me wrong, I don't crush every bird out of the house, but it's a riot trying.

All of the clay target sports should be enjoyed .... and just when you think you're getting good at any one (or more) of them, there's always the International (Olympic) versions of Trap and Skeet to bring you back to earth.

Unfortunately, there are very few places that have the International venues set-up, but if ever & whenever you find the opportunity to try one, by all means go for it.

One of the biggest surprises in my shotgunning career was finding out just how tough International Trap ( especially Doubles Trap) targets could be... and how incredibly effective 24 gram International loads were at the bunker !

A fun event at one Club is made up of 50 Sporting, 25 5-Stand, 25 Skeet, 25 Trap and
25 "Skrap" targets ( an combin invented course of both Skeet & Wobble Trap Targets)
Sure identifies who the "groove" shooters are.

Participate in & enjoy all the games !!!
