S&W N frame Grips ?

It'll fit, functionally, but because stocks were hand-fit to the frame the fit might not be perfect, visually. (Many S&W stocks will have serial numbers and rack numbers stamped on them for just this reason.) You might experience slight overlap, gape, and/or misalignment.

For perfect results (in the case of new replacement stocks) contemporary custom stock manufacturers often will actually fit the stocks to the frame, just as they did back in the day.

I've posted this picture before but a number of years ago, I had about five different N frames. At a local gun show I 'LUCKED' into a set of S&W factory ivory. ;)Couldn't resist.

Can't help but notice the Smith's rule.....I personally like the 19's, 27's, 29's and 586 but they gotta be BLUE!

Yah S&W N frames must be blue for sure! I have a 625 though and its a tack driver so can't part with it. All S&W model 27,28,29,57,58 all have same frame size as long as there numbered models, there is some varition in pre model numbered guns, but they are very minor and fit pretty well, cheers Dale Z!

Postwar N Frames are all dimensionally identical, including the pre-model number ones. Prewar N Frames will accept the same grips, but have different internals. As mentioned above, there may be some minor variation in cosmetic fit with individual guns.

I had to carve a spot for the lanyard ring in my pachmeyer grips on my Triple-Lock. Much better grip though.:)
