Hi all,

Received my SA CZ58 in 5.56 and I immediately wanted to put on the NEA parts I bought. Unfortunately, there are significant dimensional differences. Both the railed upper handguard and lower handguard from NEA had to be modified to fit my rifle. The top rail handguard is a hair too long for the retaining pin to fit. I had to mill off .8mm to get a proper fit. The same went for the lower handguard, but about 1mm needed to be shaved off from the top of the inside of retaining pin hole of the guard.

If you have an ambi safey, you will need to remove the side scope mount.

The NEIT Arms ambi/extended safety will NOT work with the supplied mags. The mags have a rib on the rear that catches on the mag release. You can jam the mag in, but getting it out requires force and removes plastic from the rear of the mag. The ambi side of the tab cannot move fully forward to release the mag properly, as it is stopped by the mag.

A little disappointing, but hopefully this gives a heads up to other CGN'ers. No fault of either Woverine, NEA or NEIT. The new receivers are slightly different from the originals it seems.

It must be limited to the 5.56 guns because Milspec Monkey recently ran a CSA 7.62x39 VZ58 at a tactical response course in the U.S and didnt get the NEA product until the day of the course and had no problems setting up the gun or sighting in the morning of the course.

Yup, that's what I'm guessing too. Again, not disappointed in the products by themselves, they are very high quality. I figure that the new manufacture 5.56 CZ58s have slightly different specs from their 7.62 brethren.

Once I was able to fit the parts to the gun, it looks great, feels great and am very happy with the how it turned out. I mounted a T1 on the rail and was able to keep small groups on target. The iron sights shot low and right though. I will have to adjust them when I get the proper tool.

I just finished pimping out my 5.56 rifle with a NEA stock adapter and a Neit bolt release. Only issue was installing the bolt release. The crosspin has a head on it interfering with the bolt release tab. My CZ858's have just a straight pin. You will have to file down a flat edge giving it a ' D ' profile or fab a new pin, which is what I did (used a drill bit shank).

**THATS NOT RUST ON THE NEIT RELEASE.. JUST SOME FUNKY LIGHT TRICKS**

Never thought of that. I had the same issue so I filled down the bolt release instead of the retainer pin. I guess I should have thought about that before doing this as at the time my bolt release costed me $85 plus shipping. Does your bolt release wiggle side to side? Just asking because mine did and heard that they corrected this problem.
Also is that mag single stacked or double?

These 1's that I got from Reliable Gun got rid of all that wiggle and I think are the best bang I thought for my buck;

I think Wanstalls sells them too. The best thing I noticed about these were that there was no fitting required & had some supper slick coating.

Our new version released in the summer requires no fitting. They're also cheaper, stronger and have a lifetime warranty. ;)

The old version was pulled from stock sharpened and turned into a James Bond drop-from-my-truck tire deflating system for wouldbe pursurers.

Are the iron sights usable with that stock? It sits quite a bit higher than the original one.
