Time to Delete! Thanks

Gota love a iron clad monopoly! No competition sucks for the consumer, our dollar is stronger than the US but we still pay 100% more for a unproven Kel-tec product.

LOL, SUCKAS! :)

It really boils down to: What's the shortest semi auto 308 non restricted you can buy? Unless you don't mind carrying a full length M14 through the woods (do any of you know how heavy one is!?), then you need a bullpup. Last I checked, no one, anywhere in the world past or present has ever produced a state of the art bullpup that shoots 308.

If you want it, you gotta pay the price.

Some people are paying close to 3K (and beyond) for a PS90, FS2000, Tavor, XCR, ACR (soon), Beretta O/Us etc.

A brand new state of the art (out of prototype only 2 years ago) RFB bullpup that is likely to set the design in next gen compact firearns design, costs 2.5k. Not only that, there are NO OTHERS like it in its class. And not only that, this is Canada.

So while some people are paying 3k for REGULAR guns. (how is an XCR not a regular gun?), people are balking at 2.5k price point for an RFB?

=/\=

If you read the intent in the latest NDP gun bill it should be ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that they will restrict all semi-auto rifles - probably outright ban them too. Paying some high price will only make you look foolish if this happens.

I guess it's funny to some. I've been around long enough to see non-restricted rifles go restricted and then prohibited. I have seen the arbitrary refusal to issue transport permits. It's not like it hasn't happened before. Dealers imported thousands of AK47s with 19 inch barrels. A lot of good that did.

So why not buy the guns and fight it. First thing they'll do is say "well you don't have one, so you have no legitimate complaint."

Your arguement is actually turning me closer to buying, not turning me away.

p.s. Not trying to make it personal, but your location lists:
Where we resist the Liberal Occupational gov't in waiting
This seems like a pretty darn good way to resist!

To put things back on track:

Personally I say work on mag availability and getting the base models into the hands of your buyers first.

Many many many people are reserving their judgement until they hear how it handles, shoots and feels. I really want an RFB, but need to hear SOMETHING about them. So far the three or four reviews from the states have been brief at best with very little info. Once someone in Canada has one of these, properly and extensively reviews it and maybe even does some close up and range video I'll know for sure if I'm going to put money down on it. I really really want to, but fact is I'll have to sell off my collection to manage it.

Magazines: $55 per is probably not going to fly. Even though they're quality and brand new, too many canadians remember $5 FAL mags and can't figure out how a government subsidized surplus magazine was cheaper than commercial custom made current day cost magazines now.

On another note - I had no interest in the SU-16 until I saw it can come with a conversion kit.... are both teh SU's and the conversion kits coming?

id love to have a nice bullpup for coyotee hunting but alas they reclassified the one I wanted, the CHEAP ($) one, to prohbited.....im guessing because it was cheap.

No Saturday Night Specials for the masses, no sir!

yea, if i could sell all of my guns and afford an rfb i would sell them. just to have a bullpup i can hunt with and wave in the face of all the damn liberals. it really says how expensive the gun is when you own 5 guns and even if you sold them you wouldnt be ablt to afford the one!

too bad... gotta wait.

If the RFB was restricted, there would be less of a market for it - and I'm not sure Vault would have invested the time and expense to get it imported (nor would Kel-Tec necessarily have been able to justify the Canadian-specific changes to the RFB and the numerous export application attempts). Actually, I'm pretty certain if the RFB was restricted you'd never see it here at all (so price would be somewhat moot).

If you're prepared to wait a year or two you might be able to get a used one for under $2k (if you can find someone willing to part with theirs, that is)...

Its not really the whole concept of price but for someone part time , trying to atleast stay level in the shooting sports and trying to enjoy it , i have to be careful with my dollar . Unlike alot of members i see here if the RCMP suddenly shows up at my door going "give me your RFB its a prohibited weapon" i cant afford to just toss out another 3K and go "oh well , such is life" . And then to see no options on top of that it just strikes me as very very odd.

Fair enough. But realistically, the gun retails for $1,880USD. Exchange (±), import/export fees, shipping charges (twice), customs, duty and brokerage... there's no way the RFB was going to sell for under $2k! And it's closer to $2,500 - not $3k (splitting hairs a bit, but $500 is still $500).

There's a really easy way to get it for under $2k: just sell off a rifle, optic or any other accessory(s) that's been sitting around and apply that. I suspect a lot of people will be doing the same thing.

Sounds like you have already given up, now you are just pissing on everybody's cornflakes. :HR:

Yes, we will be bringing in the conversion kits for the SU16's when the time comes for sure.

As I said before, Vault is working on sourcing new magazines for the RFB's. So far everything I've come up with is to costly.Still working on it though.

No, just pointing out that it has happened dozens of times before and people who say they will pay "anything" for non-restricted are either thick or ignorant of how things work. High prices = few sold = next gun banned. Clear?

Then obviously we need everyone to purchase one.

Many purchased = lower prices = even more being purchased = harder to ban.:ar15:

Vault the monopolizer has allready stated he sets the prices for Canada. He is the King and ye shall payeth what he says or be RFBless :)

You`ve been Vaulted.......

People have it ass backwards here. Tavor is high priced few brought in and legal. T97 crates brought in, cheap price, we have no T9's now.

##### at Vault for the price, then STFU and don't buy them. I cannot believe some of the responses here, you guys are gonna piss off importers and we will have fewer or no choices at all.

^^^^ what he said. READ THE THREAD BEFORE POSTING!!!! nobody is and insulting vault and he has to keep explaining himself which he doesnt need to in the first place.

If Vault or you guys dont want to hear a counter view then Vault should take this to his dealer forum and let the love fest begin.

This is not the I love Vault forum, its the Black and Green Rifles forum and the one and only one thing that totally pissed me off about Vault was his bulls**t about doing this for the firearms community. BULLs**t!!

The firearms community is dieing slowly. High prices of ammo and everything else will be the cause of the community dieing a slow death.

So the barrel won't be threaded for a flash hider, muzzle brake, etc. - is that correct? Polymer magazines would be awesome - and I'm looking forward to some of the accessories (like the quad rail fore end). I guess you can also mount some picatinny rails to the bottom of the handguard (saw a photo of an RFB with an AFG mounted).

Funny how you were lot more civil towards Mark at Questar when you are talking about Questar's pricing of a PWS upper compare to the price of a complete PWS rifle in the US. :p
