Today I passed up a 12 point buck to shoot a doe! And I had a buck tag... In Manitoba

WOW the guy has amazing eyesight, shot 4 other deer this season from the same spot ...and all through the spine (what is the legal seasonal limit of deer in Manitoba anyway?)... and still going out for the big one that got away??

Checking the regulations below, party hunting is legal in Manitoba.Depending on the specific location, that would make it possible for one person to shoot a dozen deer with a rifle in one year,if he killed all of the deer for his party of four, and all four people had three tags each.

I could make the shot , not slipped , had a clean scope, and I wouldn't have wasted any loin meat either!! :p

But a spine has a huge vertical target area of what?? maybe 3" at best on a deer. So, that's a half MOA rifle , at dusk, with snow and water on the scope, heavy breathing , hurting ass.

What's not to believe?

Who cares...the story is so full of holes it wouldn't float for a second:confused:. 600 yard shots:bsFlag: Running with a gun whilst slipping and falling several times, a confermed 6X6 at last light from 200 plus yards...WOW the guy has amazing eyesight;), shot 4 other deer this season from the same spot ...and all through the spine (what is the legal seasonal limit of deer in Manitoba anyway?)... and still going out for the big one that got away?? Hanging a deer guts and all in the garage by the head...because it was too dark to gut out in the field:rolleyes: I can only hope this crew is at least a half a province away from my general operating sector...and I'm not saying anything about the spell check...

Get your hunting buddies over tonight for a few beers and read the OP again for $hits and giggles:p

MB tags tie on with string, not the sticker on to a wire type here, you have to notch out the day month and year. Also there is a tag for hide, head and carcass/meat.

It's common to remove the tag during dressing so it's no big deal.

...and the doe in the photo is not even tagged...oops:redface:

yes it is. on the other side in the first pic . this is where we put it when it came home.i got pic's of that also.

now that the doe is all skinned up. the shot was 2.5-3" low on the back, right on top of the front shoulders. right where i was shooting.

and with a 50mm scope it was NOT dark out at all. there was still lots of light. We shot her at close to 4:30 and it was "dark" at 5:15

And i know... i could of made the shot and not slipped had a clean scope if i would of walked up to them. But i did not want to take a chance. seeing they where running. and i wanted to get there fast
And I don’t know if what I did I would call a RUN man… look at me.. it was more less a jogging speed.

Tell that to the CO when you are takin the picture.

It MUST be immediately attached after the animal is killed, as per the Hunting Guide for 2010 in Sask, other provinces may vary but I doubt it. If a CO wants to site you for this they can. If you be a #### to them, they will.

Yes sometimes a tag doesn't make it onto the deer before a picture is taken, so what?

You don’t need to attach it to the deer until you load it up in your truck in Manitoba. But you need to cut it out when you get up to your deer and see that it is dead before you move it.

When a big game kill is made, the hunter must immediately cut
out the month and date of kill on the game tag. If the hunter
maintains actual possession of the animal, affixing the cut out
game tag may be delayed until the animal has been taken to
a means of transportation. Immediately upon reaching such
transportation, the cut out tag must be securely attached to the .
big game animal.

Holy crap, is anything ever to your satisfaction your highness!!!!!!!!!!!!

Road hunters , head shots now you are the tag master.

WTF is your problem

I AM THE TAG MASTER!!!!

WTF is your problem? You seem to be the only one with an issue.

But I DO have an issue with some forms of road hunting, I DO have an issue with headshots. As for tags, I was reiterating on a comment that someone else had stated as I DID NOT know where the animal was shot and the legal tagging practices of that area, just of my own.Like where you hail from - Hillbilly heaven , I didn't see the hunting guide for that prov/territory this year.

But IF I am the only problem you have, then things ain't so bad in life.

Maybe you also miss the icons I added, just figured I'd point that out to you as a friendly gesture. they look like these::yingyang:  :p ;) :D  :) :(
