IPSC Ontario 2011 Membership Renewals Due Soon

It looks like membership fee went up by 10 bucks and if we renew it before Nov30 there is a $10 discount.

The membership runs From Jan 1st to Dec 31st. The due date for renewals is actually Jan 1st...start of the new season (discount aside). Why give a discount to someone for renewing a month late (Jan 31) ?

January is always a pain for MDs because people show up to shoot...and are not current members. It leaves the responsibility to the MD's to collect the membership applications and fee...and send it to the BOD.

It would be far easier if everyone reniewed on or before Dec 31st. The cut off date for the discount at Nov 31 will help to encourage that.

Your calendar and mine are different, Craig. I don't have a Nov. 31 on my calendar.

The decision to go to the November date was decided at the Club Reps meeting this past spring, hopefully the Club Reps have told all their members by now. It was mentioned in the Sitrep, though there was a typo on the date. The new form has been online for almost a month now so most people should have it. Club Reps can print them off if they have members without internet or members can contact their Club Rep or member of the BoD and we'll make sure everyone is taken care of.

I respectfully suggest that some Reps may have forgotten until the new form was sent out early November.
I know I forgot. After I got the new form in the mail, I printed renewal forms and took them to our club members at the monthly meeting last Wednesday.

I support the change, just understand how it may be a surprise to members.

CAN I use the old form but stated the Renewal year is 2011? My printer is down.
 
Wow, sent the membership form in less than two weeks ago and already received my new 2011 membership card . With a nice letter as well.

Kudos to the IPSC Ontario board.
