yeah,...that would certainly be a "last resort"...you could buy riflechair's Model 70 whelen...and not be accused of settling for "the last resort"....

No is the answer to that. But there are a few rifles like the Ruger#1 and the H&R break action that are lefty friendly but not true left handed rifles. But I would just make a custom by rebarreling a left handed rifle of my own liking.
