I've owned a few of the Detonics Combat Master micro pistols.
The DT CMs were optimised for fast CQB shooting, up close and personal, and at one time were considered the Ultimate Practical Pistol.
SAFETY NOTE: The Det CMs have NO GRIP SAFETY.
The Detonics CMs, if properly tuned and using good mags, were very reliable, BUT THE TRIPLE WOUND RECOIL SPRING USUALLY TOOK A SET after about 1000 rds of full house major loads.
SO,
if you get a DET CM,
try to get some spare recoil springs for it as well.
Team Detonics used to come up from Seattle to shoot IPSC matches in Vancouver.
Now there were a bunch of interesting dudes .... one of them shot IPSC with a CM that had NO sights ... all instinctive or point shooting. I shot my way into IPSC B class with a Det CM, and always enjoyed myself at IPSC matches .... especially if by some fluke I managed to beat some other shooter who was using a full race space gun.
The micro Glock series 26/27/etc got a lot of their flavor and character from the old Detonics, and I would strongly recommend a micro Glock as much more practical than the [ now collectible ] Detonics Combat Masters.
