Thanks to all on CGN who made this project work. All rifles are now sold. However, we have 25 more on order that will 'trickle' in over the next several weeks. A few are presold already. I hope everyone is enjoying their rifles and its a bit special knowing the project was conceived here on CGN.
I've got one in my safe and plan to you it on a Cougar hunt in AB this winter.

another question, does anybody make a nice cap to fill that screw hole in the fore end? i suspect it will fill with lint just like a bellybutton.

I'm sure enjoying mine...as is my brother and a couple strangers at the range; I take it out every week. Great to have a No.1 back in the safe. This one's not getting recycled either; as mentioned, it's a bit special. ;)

I am so pleased with mine, Clay. It absolutely loves the Hornady 174 RNSP, using Ramshot Big Game. I have shot several 3-shot groups that were MOA or slightly less. It also shoots the 180 Sierra GK very well [using IMR 4320 with this one] I was not impressed with the old Speer 200 Grand Slam, but the Hornady 150 came in with some impressive groups. I will hunt this rifle this fall, probably for Whitetail in NE BC. More later, Eagleye.

I'm getting one on the next batch. Yukon hunt diverted funds from getting one on the first batch. :)

I think I'm going to let my daughter learn to shoot with it as she is right handed, but left eye dominant.

Hey small world SC. My 12 year old daughter is also right hand/left eye dominant, so that was one of my excuses. For now it's mine though. Will be going with me next week to NW AB for elk/deer.
Thanks very much to Clay and everyone else that made it happen.

I was just on the Ruger website and it appears the 1a .303 is now a regular catalog item ! ?

It's kind of a shame in a way to go to all that work to have something unique, then have the uniqueness taken away.I wonder how many people bought one, just to have something different?
