Just got an email from Swampy..wondering if I had any interest in these bullets.
Anyone else use them, and would like to share their experience, I have to give him answer on a caliber and quantity.

I contacted them three years ago and wanted to formally import a number of their bullets. They were completely uninterested in exporting to Canada. I contacted them again earlier in the year to attempt to get some of their 7mm bullets for evaluation and got a most dismissive response.

They may be great bullets, but they are d*cks as far as I am concerned. Try Matrix... made in Canada and great to deal with.

Yeah..like I say it's just preliminary..not sure if they are even going to pay for the export permits..so I guess we will see. If I have to pay for the permit, I won't be ordering..lol
I have not tried Matrix though..I should check them out.

Over here in UK I shot his 155 and 167gr VLD .308 bullets for years, until he decided that the UK was just not providing enough sales. In any case, there was only the one dealer here who stocked them. In the end, having heard about his attitude to selling in the UK, I bought all there were to be had.

All gone now.

They were the most accurately-made bullets I'd ever shot in over twenty years of reloading for the two .308s I have - a Krico 650SS practical/tactical and a K31-actioned Schulz & Larsen-barrelled ISSF gun.

Absent his bullets, I shoot Berger's versions of the same specifications.

But I'd buy HIS like a shot if he sold them here again.

When Jimmy still owned JLK and before it got difficult to buy bullets from the States I was using JLK bullets in .22 cal and 7mm. Berger bullets were not available in Canada. I have some .224 52gr LD bullets left and several thousand 7mm 180gr bullets. Bullets seem fine to me probably no better or worse than Berger bullets.

I personally would not go through the trouble to try and acquire JLK bullets unless they were substantially cheaper and at least equal in quality to what is presently avaible in Canada now.

JLK's were a PITA to get even when I lived in the US: I tried obtaining some for my RL-17 + 210gr. in 308 Win. article. They never materialized....

My buddy compared that 140 JLK (highest BC in Litz's book by a good margin) to a ton of other 6.5mm bullets and ended up going with the 139 Lapua (one of the lowest BC 's in that weight) due to better consistency. Plus, it took him forever to get the bullets and dealing with the owner made him livid.

I wouldn't bother with them. If you end up getting them who know if and when you'll ever be able to get more...

does any one have any load data for the 180 jlk,s in a 308??

Just use 180 SMK data and work up slowly.
