The only other mark not visible in the pics would be a small rectangular box above the trigger, in front of slide release with K100 or V100 in the box. Can not find any other marks but havent pulled grips yet.
Thanks for the 9mm Mak ammo tip, I assumed it was 9x19. Good to know.
Appears to be unfired.

yes, I forgot to mention that the caliber is 9x18
the rectangular stamped on frame is Russian arsenal, 64 is the manuf year
East German production has a circle with an "y" inside or a circle inside a rectangular as a stamp
serial letters are on Latin and not Cyrillic alphabet, so another sign that was made by Russian for export

I see this gun is for sale so necromancing the thread:

It's not a Russian gun - East German made - see the S with dots and 64 above the back of the grip.

You could get a longer barrel installed and make it restricted...

Good luck finding a restricted length Makarov barrel... There were some made for suppressors in the States when these first hit their shores years ago, but they've dried right up since. AFAIK no commercial Baikal barrels were released as parts before the import bans hit. They're a fixed barrel system, so it's not as easy as just dropping a longer one in either...

Bits of Pieces or Ellwood Epps will just make one in 380. (I'd go with Bits of Pieces personally) The barrel is pressed into the frame but is removable.

It was a long time ago now but I found a source in the states selling American made threaded restricted length Makarov bbls for pretty cheap. I thought about buying a batch of 10 or so to make the import costs more manageable. I will look if that is still around somewhere... This is a neat pistol, I have the push-through Russian Makarov holster that Russian forces use. When I saw it once on that tv show Deadliest Warrior, I just had to have that holster... When you push the pistol down and "through" the holster, it racks a round into the chamber and it's ready to shoot. Cool stuff!
