Do dealers get the TT-33 Pistols inside the original packing crates/military crates?

Just curious if anyone knows what type of arrangement/crate/packaging for the tt-33 pistols dealers get when buying in mass? (like the boxes 7.62 x 39 ammo comes in)

I've seen photos of some of the SKS's coming in original storage crates etc with a dozen or so rifles to a crate, and was curious if anyone has photos of how the TT-33's were stored/received from storage?

The SKSs are packed 10 or 15 in a crate, depending on the size of the crate. Crate itself is good and solid, has proper heavy-duty hinges and locks. The rifles are 5 to a layer and cradled from each other by proper separators. In the crate are a tool kit, 2 ammo pouches, 3 chargers, oil bottle, oil-bottle pouch and sling.... for each rifle... and a signed, dated packing slip. It is all very sensible and very complete: no running around, hoping and wishing for a part that you don't have.

It might sound a bit silly but when you think on it, it makes a lot of sense. You can MOBILISE very quickly when all your equipment is packed together. Seven crates plus 100 reservists just hauled away from the piston-pin factory and you have 100 soldiers.

Frankly, I would be surprised if the pistols were not packed in an analagous manner, with holsters, spare mags, lanyards and cleaning rods included for each gun. And a signed, dated packing-slip, of course..... can't forget the packing-slip.

I found this picture via google of 1895 Nagant revolvers packed in their crates. It looks like they are double stacked with each layer facing the other direction of the one above it.

that's really neat...

will order two of them, cases I mean...

The Inglis Browning High Powers that came from Greece had the original tags from Inglis with the Canadian Military acceptance numbers and the transfer numbers to the Greek Military. They also had spare magazines, cleaning equipment, lanyard and holster.

How long ago did these come in? Would love to have seen them.

How many do you figure that is per crate total?

I do believe that I remember seeing a crate of the TT-33 pistols fully packed up in much the same way as the above photo with around 40 tt-33 pistols to a crate.

Was a very long time ago, so take my guess at just that, as my memory isn't always so kind, and it could have very well just been the same type of crate pictured and not the tt-33 after all.
