John,
A quick note to the "lessons learned" portion of your web life, something every third grader learns:
Make sure that your brain is in gear before your mouth starts yapping. This is not intended to be condescending. However, offering a "deal" on here is like taking a chocolate cake into a "deal a meal" session and letting Richard tell them that they can only have it if its chocolate and on a bank holiday. You're gonna get MOBBED!!
I believe several times on your website and in your posts, you have condemned other suppliers for not keeping their word. You set the bar quite high with your own level of integrity. And now you are surprised when it backfires in your face. Admittedly, most of the 800+ negative posts were uncalled for at the time they were posted. Now, however, you have opened the floodgates to some very negative posts coming down the pike.
1. You admitted to getting this out too quickly.
2. You advertised a $1 rifle, then back-pedaled, you actually back-pedaled, to a firearm.
3. You were not able to get the deal together by the originally posted time, citing shortcomings with other people.
4. It is Monday morning and you still haven't posted the deal, we have to call and wait until the phone is answered.
5. Turns out is its a buy one, get one deal that only applies to RPAL holders because both are restricted.
I appreciate the gesture, but next time, put it all together before you try to help us out. It will eliminate most of the bad publicity you are about to get. Sorry, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes today. Good luck, though....
