@ cantom
I don't know if you're familiar with the Axis History Forums, but I bet if you posted these pics over there you'd have a lot of people that would be able to give you more info on them.

Gotta have nothing but respect for the vets..
The camo smocks they are wearing were issued late war,and were sleeveless to conserve material.I see nothing to indicate that these are Luftwaffe troops, but if they were they could have belonged to a Luftwaffe Field Division or the Hermann Goering Panzer or Panzergrenadier divisions.I'll have another look but breast eagles and collar patches seem to indicate an Army unit.......A closer look(with glasses on) indicates Luftwaffe troops! Nice photos of them wearing zeltbahns as camo smocks too

i have one zelthbahn from 1943,what i'm aware of,considering material saving is the decreased numbers of grommets and the number of holes in the buttons, these mods happenned after '43.i may be wrong, that's what i was told.2 or 3 of theses buttoned(is this a word?)together would make a shelter.i never saw a zelthbahn with sleeves or it may be named something else.
once again,i may be wrong.
