quick question: I received a 10/22 heavy barrel but it's a 18 inch and was supposed to be a 20. Will I notice a differance shooting 100M to 200M?

Let me know

thank you

I don't think so. The guys that have chopped barrels and measured velocity say it peaks around 16" on a 22 rimfire. Sure won't effect accuracy.

+1. The 18" will show higher velocities by a little bit. Accuracy has nothing to do with barrel length.

Good thing to know! And how about bullet stabilisation?

That is simply a function of velocity and twist rate. Virtually all .22LR barrels use a 1:16 twist and it has proven to be adequate for all typical ammo aside from a few heavy bullet subsonic types. Just shoot it and enjoy.
