Taurus circuit judge

that really upsets me. THere is no reason to classify that restricted. I would like an explanation. As a matter of fact, every firearm should have an explanation on why it is classified a specific way. Even if it as obvious as: "Semi-Automatic Pistol, 6 inch barrel. Restricted"

Did I mention this upsets me

This is true. I just looked it up.

From the FRT:
- Rossi model 4510 Circut Judge externally resembles a rifle, but uses the receiver/frame of a handgun.
- Rossi model 4510 Circut Judge receiver/frame is the same receiver/frame used in the Taurus model 4510 Judge handgun.

I suspect this basically eliminates the market for these in Canada.

K.O.

Unless the barrels are a "quick swap" with the restricted-revolver line-up, that decision to go to Restricted makes no sense at all; a revolver barrel is a factory fit part.
Ugh!!

The problem doesn't seem to be the barrel, it seems to be that the gun is essentially a Taurus revolver with a long barrel and a shoulder stock. If you remove the stock, you (theoretically) could buy a pair of grips that fit a Taurus Judge and prersto, a ling barrel revolver.... Not saying I agree, but that seems to be the logic...

well... theres not much point in getting an ATT to go to the range with that, no is there.

Hey, what a sec. Isnt any shotgun with a pistol grip the same thing even if you were to put pistol grips on it?? As long as the overall length with the stock is cosure, then you should just have 30 days to report any cahnges to overall length un the 26 whatever inches.

Or am I out to lunch?

Ahhhh yes the control freaks and their rulings at work again. Knowing the thousands in legal fees to challenge it. Cool rifle for sure.:bangHead:

gangbangers might devastate the grouse populations if it was non-restricted.

I lol'd at this.

An yeah, the classification is absolutely a total load of crap! But not totally surprising its not the first time the gov't has arbitrarily classified something as restricted. Its a darn shame though the miserable buggers they are.

But what arrive to the Thompson Center Contender and the Rifle. It's not restricted as long as you don't put a shorter barrel on it.
