44.0 gr H4895

44.0 grains of IMR 4064, for about 2850 fps in a 30 inch Kreiger barrel.

There's lots of 155 grain data on Hodgdon's site. I'd be using IMR4064 myself. 43.0(2602 fps) to 47.5C(2871). Compressed loads are nothing to worry about either.

The load your rifle likes. Sounds odd but every rifle is different. Personally I have had good luck with IMR4895 but others have good results with Varget. Sometime trial and error is the only way. Maybe even a different bullet. Good luck.

46.0 of Varget. 2950 fps out of a 30 in barrel. Lots of shooters have gone to R15 but I always find Varget easy to get when I need it.

What brass and any bullet coating, as that will affect your powder charge? I'm running 46+ gr H4895 in WW brass and moly coated, so definitely start less and work up.

varget, N150, and R15 do very well too.

MPWOLF knows the .308 take his advice,
shot a round of 15 at 300m at Connaught with fellow using TR rifle (iron sights) he was using Scenars and N150 he fired a perfect 75 with 9 v bulls.

155 moly scenars with 47 grn of varget in a win case. Seated to 2.8" coal.
This load works very well in my coyote.
