Just wanted to post these.... Just put them on my 1935 TT-33

Got them for 40$ on Gun Broker :D they look so much better then the plastic ones... and are tuff as hell to put on...

So do you guys know if these grips were issued during the war ?

Excellent pictures and nice grips! I was thinking of doing the same thing. Are there any markings at all anywhere on the grips?

Are they readily available?

Yep ... here is the same seller as me...

Nope no markings... Just cover in cosmo !!! and they stink...

The Fit is not perfect either... They are kind of ruff... from what I found in my Tokarev book they were only made from 1942 to 1945 for wartime and there is some earlier versions that appeared to be hand checkered... So I guess its wartime production... Still I think they look good...

Wood grips are appropriate from about 1942 through about 1944 if I recall. Bakelite was also used whenever it was available.

Have you ever managed to see any of these type floating around Canada?

I can't say i've ever seen this variant, but have seen the wooden checkered pattern on several war era bring backs that I believe fall in that 42-44 date range.

These are the ones I would love to find
