I have no experience with this type of firearm and being on a limited budget,
should i even consider one of these M4's?
Anyone have some advice for me or should I just stay away.
Like many enthusiasts, my list of future guns is long and funds are less so.
Thanks in advance.

its a great gun, and imho you can't go wrong. there are countless threads on this topic in the forums, use the search function and behold a s**t storm of information.

I have one and so far it has functioned flawlessly. I was interested in an AR platform but I didn't want to sink a pile of $$$ into one. I also have a long list of guns I still want to buy so a Colt, Bushmaster etc would have killed the budget. Get it, don't look back

They have no more and sometimes less issues than other AR's. I purchased one from the first bunch (for about $900) it was a great deal then, at the price they're going for now, they're a steal. I've yet to see a single case of a problem that was uncommon or required serious warranty service. Buy a bottle and a spray can of CLP, at least a case of ammo (it'll be gone before you know it) and have fun. Oh yeah, and start saving up for reloading gear.

Very good reliable and accurate rifles, do a search, tons of info.

Mine shoots sub MOA out to 300 yards with match ammo. Even though it is designed to be a plinker, it is an accurate one too.

I purchsed on a month ago. Functions well, fit and finsh are good.
For the price of the rifle and a case of ammo still paid less than a Colt.

Love mine. My first foray into black rifles and I'm hooked hard.

Spend your $700, have money left over for a nice optical sight and upgraded furniture :D

Excellent gun. Had mine a couple weeks now. I got the .22 kit for mine so until I get the components for my first .223 reloads its my dedicated plinker. It works flawlessly with the .22 kit, great over-all gun. Buy it and you wont regret it as soon as you open the box. Except the stock mags really do suck so buy a couple mags in advance.

I got one recently and am very impressed. Good finish, works perfectly and very accurate. Some owners complain about the mags, but so far mine work fine.

The manual alone is almost worth the price of admission. Turns out it is good for "annihilating active group units" at ranges up to 460m. I guess the group units have to sit still, though, while you annihilate them with the 5 shot mags and semi-auto fire :) But seriously, the translations to English are very imaginative, so you might want to pick up a book or manual for some other AR.

What .22 kit did you get? And where?

I bought one last summer 2009. I haven't shot much with it, but it's damn good for the $$$ and I paid more for it last year too. Fit and finish is up for debate but who cares. It shoots perfectly fine to me. I was able to hit 300 yard gong at OSGC with iron sights with my reloads using bulk Hornady bullets. An amazing feat for me. I couldn't even see the gong.

Everyone with RPAL should buy an AR... Especially for $700.

got on in the fall for 3 gun shooting. Not as fancy as some out there but mine never jammed yet as compared to some more expensive ones out at tournament. :) Only has about 150 rnds so far but flawless.

Cheers

Compared with my cousin's AR which is almost 2x the cost and with a 16" barrel. It feels the same. When he tried my Norc out, he said the same thing. If you want to pay more for 'cleaner' look, spend more. If you want something that shoots the same as the more $$$ brands, stick with Norc and use the left over for ammo, scope, and/or reloading parts. I hate spending too much $$$ on restricted stuff. If the AR was non-restricted, I would spend more on one.

I bought the .22 kit from Questar. Its the one made by CMMG, went out yesterday and put another 250 rnds through it without one stoppage. With the .22 and .223 this gun is such a bargain.

I bought the same kit and have over 1000 rounds through it and have not had a misfire yet. Except for the first cleaning I havent touched it yet and it still goes bang every time.:D

Very impressed with it mine. bought it when they first showed up and it was a great deal, now that they are cheaper its a no brainer if you want to get into the AR club on a budget.
