Howdy,
Well, I've run into a tough choice and I thought I'd let the pro's help me decide. First: My .22 experience includes a FNH single shot .22 I owned for a while last year, and my friends Savage semi-auto's. Fun stuff, I really enjoy plinking and small game hunting, although I don't have extensive experience in both. I went to my local gun store and took a look at the CZ 455 LUX and the Standard. Both are pretty pricey for me, but they were magnificent; in weight and the contours of the wood. I took a look at the Marlin Model 60 as well, and the Ruger 10/22 as well. So what do you all think? Is it worth it for a beginner to be putting in the extra coin for an excellent looking (and I imagine shooting) rifle, or should I stick to something a bit more utilitarian (I'm really thinking the Model 60). Thanks for your time!
