New to me Model 94

I just came into this little sweetheart - an early 80's Model 94AE Trapper in 3030 with case coloured receiver. Ye Olde Booke of Blue says nothing of this particular model. Can anyone shed some light? (Forgive the optics - try to look past them).

I thought the trapper models had the big finger loop so gloves could be worn while using the rifle. Maybe not all of them had?

I too have one but without the saddle ring and mine has a Williams peep on it. I couldn't find any others around either......I guess a few of you fellas have one too.

Can I ask where you got it? Did you have to change the front blade?

with my peep sight i actually ended up putting on a fibre optic front blade on red i like it i've had it on a few years now , its fast and easy to see for my eyes anyway.
Good job the scope is gone!!!!!

I have a 44 Winchester Trapper and by experiements at the range, I found myself that using the issue sights, the ramp was maxed out and spot on for 200 yards. (factory 240 grain jecketed) The 5th step IIRC. The 3rd step was on for 100 yards.
