wife wants a 9mm

why get a 9mm that wont kill anybody. arnt there any compact 45s

:stfun00b:

Ya a 9mm won't kill anybody. I don't think that the OP is looking to kill anybody. Maybe you should STFU and do some research before posting really stupid remarks like that just to increase your post count.

And someone would need a 12-6 to get a truly "compact" anything.

What a marooooon.

i got myself teh SR9 and I love it.. trigger was a bit gritty at first, but once you send enough through the pipes, it'll smooth out quite a bit. Its got a low profile so its good for people with small hands.

I have shot the M&P9 and really didn't like it. After about a month my friends had rust on the slide. I found it has an inconstant trigger break and disassembly is a nightmare.

Thanks again for all the replies , I was looking at a sig about a week ago , tried to persuade the wife to let me buy the sig for myself , hahaha! due to the more than usual trips to the gun stores , I will try to get myself another .45 before this is over .

Have her try holding some of the CZ pistols. A girl with smaller hands at my range after trying a lot of guns went with a Shadow just because the grip fit her so well.

Actually she also liked the single stack 1911 for the same reasons but went with the CZ after it was all said and done.

Both of these are obviously heavier to hold in the hand than the plastic guns but while a light in the hand feel in the store is nice the weight is soon appreciated on the range where it helps soak up more of the recoil.

Personally I enjoy my M92F.
Been abused, never failed..... got sluggish on the slide return once after a few thous rounds without a cleaning. (I know, i know) But still worked.

SIG Sauer P229R E2 - expensive as shizzy but like you said you like SIGs and you want it partly for yourself, so throw in some extra $$ and you can share it :D

Try the IMI baby eagle on for size. A great looking well made little cousin of the dessert eagle. It fits small hands well and I find the ergonomics to be much better than that of the sr9. The Glock 17 would also be an excellent choice, my girlfriend loves shooting it.

I love my IWI Jericho (Baby Eagle). Great gun!

Disassembly can be done and then be put back together in well under 30secs from my g/f...

AS for the rust if your hands all over it and you never whip it off or oil then yea...its gonna happen and WILL have to any gun.
