It took me almost exactly 2 and a half months from my Pal/Rpal course to getting my licence in the mail. Not sure if this is the average time for Ontario or not, just letting the other newbies know what my waiting time was. I have a friend who didn't fill out his application right, and I haven't even been called as a reference for him yet! He's going to be delayed for a while. Meanwhile I have mine already.

Actually I was warned that they were seriously backlogged. So, I'm just happy it's over.

ya...

Two and half months seems normal to me. I live in Northern Ontario, I got my PAL a little over a year ago and it took about 3 months. Holding off on the RPAL until I'm done my degree and can (hopefully :D) actually afford a restricted.

2 weeks for me... I took the course got the test signed paper work same day I passed went to the post office and mailed it in next day regestered mail.. called them 2 days later did you get it let me check dont see it sir.. when did you send it.. 2 days ago :p I paid 20 bucks to send it fast.. I just want to make sure you got it(they said I cant bump the line ect) let me go check they went picked it up came back to the phone said yep I got it.. Iwas like ok thanks bye... they like wait.. since its in front of me I might as well do it.. after they were like anyreason why you want it so fast? I was like no but I was looking at applying for a job as an armered car gaurd.. had it in 2 weeks..

It took 5 weeks to get my tests stamped here in Ontario. That's where most of the time is wasted. I see many provinces do it differently. We're just lucky here in Ontario!

I call shenanigans on account of the mandatory waiting (cooling off) period of 28 days for new PALs.

Yes, that guy is full of it. Mandatory 28 day waiting period is 4 weeks minimum. Someone is trying to mislead us. I'm already background checked and fingerprinted for my job and I waited 2.5 months. Course to in your hand in 2 weeks? Don't think so. Unless it was Brinks or a company that trained him, only thing I could see to bypass the waiting period. Doesn't seem so the way it is written.

It has taken me about two months just to get my test stamped and returned. and I live in Ontario.:bangHead:

I sent the magic envelop to Miramichi about a week ago. More waiting.
