230gr. and Titegroup or Longshot?

Will be developing a plinker load for my Glock 21SF. Will be using Win cases, primers and either Longshot or Titegroup as powder. Bullets will be Frontier 230gr. RN (copper plated). Any pet loads? I will be loading up in incriments, just wanting to see if I can improve on a proven load. Would like to reach at least 850fps. Will be using a chrony when I test. Looking for input on what others have had good success with either powder and 230gr. bullets.

I use 6 gr of Longshot for a 230 gr bullet. Nice soft recoil but I'm sure I can go lower and it will cycle my 1911 fine.

It needs more pressure to burn cleanly, like many other powders. Take Hp-38: it is very sooty at hollow base wadcutter's pressures, Give it a better chance to build pressure such as in 9mm. loads and it becomes clean.

I use Clays for 45 with a lead wadcutter. Believe they are 200gn with less than 5gn powder. Fairly clean for lead 45.

I use VittiVouri N340 for my 45 auto loads - 5.5grains with a 230 grain bullet at standard oal and Federal primers.
VV makes every other pistol powder seam like you're shooting dry cow #### out of your gun.

I have some VV N340 and several others, never really thought of using them. From what I remember the VV powders are on the highest side of velocities.

I am looking primarily for a good accurate range load that makes IPSC major. Would like the slug to be going 850-875fps or so. Will try out some in incriments and fire them over the chrony.
