25/06 for sheep?

25/06 is a wonderful cartridge for deer, antelope, sheep etc not to mention black bear, coyotes and the list goes on and on. I use a 257 Ackley imp and it has always done the job as long as I did mine.

the owner of the gun shop (which i cant recall as this was 5 years ago) in Lethbridge suggested 165gr Interlocks for the 30-06, as i was going to be reloading for it. he was the place to go to as WSS was WSS, and probably still is. i think that he would have good idea
with its proximity to the mountains, he said if you are going for BHsheep you dont want to fool around. im not saying that the 25-06 isnt good either.

I trust my .257 wby to do take down anything. I don't know why you wouldn't trust the 25-06 to do the same thing. With the new bullet technology (ie Barnes TSX) weight retention is getting better and better.

PERSONALLY, i would have it opened up into a 25-06 AI. I mean, why not? Ballistically very similar to the .257, but with the added ability to shoot 25-06 ammo in a pinch.
