What do you use to melt lead?

I use a lee 20lb bottom pour works great. I got it from a fishing supply place in the states for a good price

Do not use a teflon (non stick pan/ pot )

health wise it is prob worse than lead if it becomes air-born at around the melting temp of lead and you breath it in!!!!!!!!!!!

and on top of it aluminum will melt if you get it too hot

For those who are using pots to hold the lead; does anyone use one with a non-stick surface? I found a pot that is an ideal size (small) for melting, but I was unsure if the non-stick surface would present any problems.

Thanks for all comments. I'm pretty excited to say that I just ordered a 20lb. Lee melter with the bottom pour and a Load All II. To go with my slug mold, I also bought a 00 Buckshot mold. Oh fun times ahead......

I heard a guy was killed doing that. Turned out it was his wife's favourite pan.
