Wolf or 'yote?

Here's a question for you guys in the know. This beast was shot in northern Ontario. Wolf, coyote or hybrid? Opinions?

That is clearly a coyote - wolves have a different coloring.

definately a yote- head's wrong, even for a hybrid- nose would need to be longer- what's fooling you is the coat is a somewhat odd color

It looks like a Coyote, but we do have some reddish(eastern) wolves around here(west algonquin area).

Interestingly, since 'yotes seem to have moved in to the "settled" areas around HWY 11, they have been breeding with both the(eastern) "algonquin" wolves and with the grey wolves that are numerous between here and georgian bay(west side HWY 11).

Traditionally these two wolf sub-species did not intermingle, however hybrid animals are now being found with traces of all three species in them.

Clearly, you don't hunt much. That's as clear cut of a coyote as they come.
