They ARE the genuine articles from WW2.

Just take a look at "Mitchell's Mausers" and then give your RC Kar98k a good hug knowing she wasn't butchered that way.

True. What I really found interesting about this particular rifle is it was made in Berlin itself.

Go on gunboards etc at any given time and you will find many matching and non matching German K98's. Go onto the EE here and how often do you see an undinked with WW2 issue German K98 with all matching numbers?

They can get K98's cheaper, and we can get Stg44's and MG-42's cheaper... albeit you need the correct credentials... ;)

I think it's too many "Middle Men" and Red Tape getting a cut on the price along the way with the inflated RC Canadian price.

Using the rationale that an RC is 2 to 3 times the price in Canada
as compared to the USA, that mentality would dictate that in Canada an Original undicked with
No4Mk.1(T) would be $10,000 to $20,000 and a Johnson Rifle would be $15,000 to $22,000.
Aint gonna happen.

You can't lower the floor to raise the ceiling at one end but not the other.
The US price seems right to me for RC, for what you're getting...a shooter.

Rumor has it they found another massive quantity of them (RC K98) in the Communist Warehouses.
 
Any of the ads I've seen in the U.S. price RC's at $300-$400, at least from dealers. They are not worth $500-$650 which is what a lot of guys seem to be asking for them lately.

Care to share a little more info on this rumor?

Anyone know possible time frames and which country they might be coming from?

Also, is the word that they are specifically being talked about for Canada, or just that they got found, and are likely to end up in another market?

I have not heard anything at all about any sort of shipment, eager to hear more thats for sure.

To be honest I wasnt looking to sell however I really want a Beretta M9/92FS or a Glock 17OD, so I was thinking of putting this up for a trade of sorts. Gotta find the right person though, seems like I might have to sell and then buy!

Then I will clasp my hands and give thanks to the Military Surplus Gods for the bounty we are about to receive...

SKSes aren't THAT much cheaper (Russians anyway) and this last batch of DE09 SVT40s with chop-shop magazines aren't anything like the super clean refurbs of a couple years ago....

I'll deal with it when it happens I guess.
