Hi,I have a Rem.Black Powder 10ga.sxs damascus barreled gun made in or around 1903 with no shells. Can I buy 3.5 in loads and emty them out,cut the hulls down to the right lenght and load again with bp?

That would be one way of getting cartridge cases, if you can't find empties.
If I were going that route, I would cut the case to length to disassemble it.
Don't reuse the plastic wad column.
Don't reuse the shot if it is steel.
Measure the length of the chambers in the gun.
I have a 12 bore M1894 Remington made about the same time as yours. These are very nice guns.

A better solution is to order unprimed brass shells from the U.S. (eg. www.rockymountaincartridge.com). They are reusable and last a very long time.

i didn't see anywhere that logger was looking for brass shells. you're right Will dosen't stock brass cases but the federal cases can be cut down easily. he stocks a cutter, you can also buy all the components for reloading including a roll crimper. I've been loading for a couple of 10 gauge Greeners for quite awhile using his stuff.

I was mistaken, I thought youan met brass cases.
I'm sure reliable or some other outfits sell 10 guage plastic as well, I have a bunch of federals i got from Epps for that as well as wads , that I got for someone else's gun.
I use Will however, for all my own reloading stuff, and load brass in 12, 16, 10, and 28.
I do not know why MagTec does not make 10 gauge, I wish they did.
