Let me start by saying the guys at Armacoat were a pleasure to deal with. Going forward, NEA will be using Armacoat exclusively for any guns that need to be painted.

damn now i have to find some money at christmas to send mine in

We ordered the paint and did it ourselves. Barret spent an 1/2 hour on the phone walking me through prep, gear/ paint guns etc. I want to say that painting at home is moron proof but i know somebody here on CGN will prove me wrong.

Oh, I don't know. You can't armacoat the internals of the gun, the gas system, the bore - but you can NC it and then armacoat the exterior of the rifle for visual effect ;)

Actually I did paint all the internals of my gun, even the gas system. But you are correct about the bore though. No way around that. However, I think because of the prep required for the Arma-Coat, I'm not sure how it'd stick to the NC. It would likely be worth trying on a piece of test steel that has been treated to see. It would definitely be the ultimate solution.

And that my friend is why I'll pay someone to do it right the first time... with me doing it I'll end up paying twice the money and still get it wrong!!!!

I've got a little Puma 357/38sp with 16" barrel. I'd love to get it done up like that.
It's a top eject though, and I've got some ideas from 'the judge' for mounting a MRDS over the barrel, but I haven't gotten around to it yet...

But damn, it would look awesome with the colors of that Marlin, and an Aimpoint Micro on it.
:D

My experience was that it is not as easy as it seems. An expensive lesson for me.

We coat bolts, inside actions, virtually everything that would be exposed to moisture. Arma-Coat is extremely thin when dry. Arma-Coat Will NEVER EVER rust guaranteed.
