Well, I finally got myself a 1911. I'd been thinking that the Norinco guns where good, well built machines; especially after having shot a few of them. One that I'd shot was a 1911A1 (in 45ACP of course), with Pachmyer American Legend grips, A tritium front site, a Meine rear site, and a trigger that had obviously been worked on. The finish on this particular specimin looks no less to my eyes to the finish on my S&W model 19, and the fitting seems to be just right (loose enough to work, but not too loose). I payed $400.00 for it, which some may concider a bit steep, but it was exactly the gun I wanted..........these are good guns!

im going to pay for my 1911 today. 1000$ for something i will hardly ever shoot. the catch is, it was built 1913 for the us army. it will be my first 1911 and first .45, i cant wait to get it home and start making a box to put it in so i can get it up on my wall. congrats on our new guns guys.

Welcome to the addiction...

I just bought two 1911s this week. Citadel M-1911 5" parkerized and a Kimber Custom Crimson Carry II. Now, just have to find some time to go and shoot them! :ar15:

Congrat's on your new 1911a1 Norinco, I also have one of these and they are
very well made although a little rough inside but they do what they are supposed to do, go's bang every time I shoot a target.

Take Care

OK here is my 1914 Colt. Just Picked it up Tuesday Night.

There have been a few thing done to it, but I'm good with that.

I bought a Para Ordnance GI Expert last spring and I love it. I've had a passion for the 1911's as long as I can remember and finally picked one up.

I didn't take any pics of mine, but here are two links to pics of that make/model:

This is a great gun and the price was reasonable. But, I am going to have to start reloading.......lol

I'm sure eventually I'll own several more 1911's.
