I have a Winchester problem

Do what I do, flog all your military rifles and use the money to buy Winchesters. :) Then buy some Marlins and Remingtons, and flog them to those "other" guys, and buy even more Winchesters.... I'm well on my way to replacing the bulk of my collection with rifles I actually like.

An old fellow told me years ago; "The only reason a guy would buy a Marlin or a Remington is if he couldn't get a Winchester!" I don't agree with that 100%, since I love my 1894 Marlin and Remington 14 1/2, but I love my Winchesters even more!

Well my wife said "you buy one more gun and I'm going to leave", :) and that was 38 years ago and I'm still trying to find the right one to buy and most of you that know me it isn't from lack of trying
She's still with me, I guess she gave up.

Its called the 'firearms flu' and it tis the flu season ya know. It can be cured by going to visit your doc [buddy] and getting a 'shot' for it. The shots don't hurt unless you let him give you too many within any 24 hour period.....:).......wTc

I am pretty sure its correct, but going to have to check with the BBHC. 133### 20in round 3/4mag in 25-35WCF. Rifle foreend, rifle butt.

And so it continues. Feast or famine.

That looks like the 1894 I sold last year! If it wears a Cooey front sight I bet it is the same one.

They are right, it is a bad bug you have caught. I have it too but a different strain. I get a couple three each year and think yeah, I am going to keep these and next thing I have a chance to do something different and jump at it.
For example there was once a 30 USG in the family but I never had any idea what kind so I bought the first one I could find, a Springfield Krag Carbine.
After examining the fired brass I found from the farm they in no way matched in the stiker shape or location. (Bear with me)

I also had a chance to get an 1895 Winchester in 303 and jumped at that. Already had two 303s but what the heck right?

I get to thinking I have a Krag that likely isn't right for the goal in mind and a 1895 that has a buggered barrel. Much as I hated to let them go I found new owners who were more than happy and in turn got a pretty nice 1895 in 30USG at the beginning of November.:) And guess what the striker mark is very close to the old fired brass I found at the farm.

You can rationalize all sorts of different ways to get a new gun. Going this far shows it is an advanced stage of the disease but when you start drooling over guns before your fourth birthday it is bound to get you bad.

Yup, also a big lever fan, have 3 in 30-30 and if I see another nice one with my name on it then........

I'll always be a lever gun nut.:D

You and me both, but don't limit yourself to the 30WCF, there are so many other good calibers....

Well that would be a small world, its just a standard Winchester rifle front sight though, not much thats cooey-ish about it. As for getting the bug young, looking back it just took a long time to come to the current stage. But between drawing guns, playing 'guns' etc, this is a culmination of all that work and preparation, lol
